Jamie ulch ndon Marathon

As a friend and work colleague of one of the Foundation Trustees, Jamie has been coming to the golf day for several years now and has seen each year the difference that can be made by supporting the event; so much so that at last year’s golf day we announced that Jamie had decided to enter the 2015 London Marathon and also an Iron Man event following that to raise money for the charity.

It give

s us great pleasure to announce that Jamie completed the London Marathon on Sunday in a stunning time of 3hrs 15mins and 49secs which has beaten his previous best of 3hrs 30mins.

Jamie booked the Friday and Monday off work in order to prepare and to recover  from his excursion to the big smoke and had the following to say once he’d crossed the finish line “It was another great experience for me and my family and I am thrilled that I was able to help spread the word of the Adam Millichip Foundation in the process. It was touch and go whether I would recover in time after sustaining an ankle injury last year but thankfully I managed to get some serious training in leading up to the event and am pleased as punch with my time.”

“I am looking forward now to some even harder training as I have always wanted to take part in an Iron man competition and at 31 years of age I am conscious that if I don’t attempt in now then before long I will be too old.”

“Many thanks to everyone who has and who is supporting me by way of sponsorship and good luck messages and I will let you all know how I get on in September.”

“I am really looking forward to attending this year’s golf day again and fingers crossed that the recent weather holds up for us.”
