Paralympic Gold Medallist joins our campaign to help disabled sports people

Paralympic Gold Medallist and Discus World Record holder Josie Pearson MBE has confirmed that she will be attending the evening celebrations at the Fourth Annual Adam Millichip Memorial Golf Challenge on May 10th 2013.

Josie blossomed at the 2012 London Paralympics when she not only won the Gold Medal in the Discus, but also put helself into the elite few who currently hold a World Record in her chosen field. She really was a champion amung champions.

The Memorial Golf day has been the Foundations flag ship fundraiser, and has so far raised over £23,000 for good causes, and almost all to disabled sports people (2010 the proceeds went to 2 local charities as we were not an official charity at that point).

The day has been blessed previously with other celebrities like Steve Bull in 2012.

Josie will be attending the evening celebrations held at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club on Friday 10th of May 2013 and will be speaking. She will also be holding a Q&A session after for those who wish to attend. Although the golf day is fully sold out, with over 200 golfers coming in the daytime, everyone is welcome at 7.30pm where Josie will join us as we show videos of what we have been doing with your money as well as autions, raffles and of course presenting the 2 golf trophies to the winners.

The entire committee at the Foundation would like to thank Josie for donating her precious time to us.

Here is a video interview with Josie thanks to AGSportsNews. It is quite long, over 10 minutes, but if you are interested in Josie and her story, this will help you. We are pleased to have Josie coming to help us, as she has been through a lot of the things the people we are helping have been through, yet managed to achieve a life changing thing when she won Gold last year.
